Further to its Come and Try Days in March the Drysdale Clifton Springs Pickleball Club (DCSPC) will be
introducing regular monthly junior sessions for children aged 11 years and upwards.
These sessions will occur as follows:
For:
Children aged 11 to 15 years
Where:
Drysdale Primary School Hall, Stonehouse Place, Drysdale
Session Price:
$5.00 per child
To cover the cost of hall hire DCSPC requires a minimum of 8 players per session. Any numbers less
than the minimum may result in the cancellation of a session.
To participate in these sessions children of 11-15 will be required to become junior members of
DSCPC. Membership of DCSPC can be undertaken via the Pickleball Victoria website at
https://pickleballvictoria.org - see further instructions below.
Unfortunately, DCSPC will not at this stage be offering pickleball sessions for children aged 10 and
under. If the above sessions for 11-15 year olds are successful in terms of numbers attending then
DCSPC may review the decision to involve 10 and under children. DCSPC is also exploring other
avenues for the involvement of those under 10 years of age and will communicate that through this
website.
Children and young people of 16 and 17 years of age upwards are welcome to take out a juniors
membership with DCSPC and participate in our adult sessions so long as they have a parent or
guardian in attendance. The sessions run for two hours and the price is $7.65. Your child will need to
join following the instructions in this message.
To take up membership of the Club’s Junior programs you will be required to undertake the following
process:
To become a member of DCSPC potential members should first access the Pickleball Victoria website
at https://pickleballvictoria.org then select Membership from the Menu then select Registration. In
completing the registration process you will need to select Drysdale Clifton Springs Pickleball Club at
the applicable dropdown then Junior at the next dropdown. A membership fee of $55 will be
required to be paid as part of this registration. Once you have joined you can send us an email at
membership@dcspickleball.org advising us of your
membership number. Your membership with DCSPC provides insurance coverage in case of injury.
Session Play at DCSPC.
All sessions of play at DCSPC are managed via a Smartphone App called Spond. Spond is
downloadable from the App Store. Once you have completed a membership registration with
Pickleball Victoria and notified us you will get an email with a Spond invite code that will allow your
child to join the DCSPC Junior Group. Upon being provided access to Spond you will be able to see all
available sessions for Juniors. As each session is released you or your child will be able to select
Attend or Decline as applicable. Selecting Attend will then initiate a payment request which can be
done via credit card under secure protocols.
Should you have any questions in relation to the above please reply to juniors@dcspickleball.org.
